QUETTA / WASHUK — In a tragic incident, at least five laborers were shot dead after unidentified armed men opened fire at shops in the Mashkel area of District Washuk, Balochistan.

According to initial reports, the victims were workers originating from various areas of Punjab. The armed assailants targeted the shops where the laborers were working before fleeing the scene immediately after the attack.

Security forces and local authorities have cordoned off the area, and an investigation into the targeted attack has been officially launched. Following the necessary legal and medical formalities, the bodies of the deceased are being transported back to their respective hometowns.
